New version of Cura 3D Printing Software

Ultimaker, manufacturers of the Ultimaker range of desktop 3D printers, have released a version of Cura, their 3D printing software.  

 

Cura v15.09 has a new look and a number of enhancements, to make the processing of preparing files for 3D printing even easier with an Ultimaker 3D Printer.

 

The new version of Cura, an open-source 3D printing software, is now built using the Uranium framework allowing the software to be continuously updated and enhanced.

 

Some of the highlights of the additional features include:

  • New user interface that's more intuitive and user-friendly, and has a Undo / Redo button
  • Time vs Quality Slider for quick processing
  • Enhanced Advanced Mode allowing for configurable settings
  • Improved support structure generation

 

Further features and some functionalities from the previous versions of Cura will be added over time to the new framework.

 

You can continue to use the previous versions of Cura or download the latest version of Cura software now.
