THE PROCESS The Metal X uses ADAM technology: Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing DESIGN: Upload your STL file into Eiger & select metal material choice. Eiger will prepare and scale the model, to compensate for shrinkage during sintering. 3D PRINT: Metal powder is bound in plastic and printed one layer at a time to form the desired part. WASH: Green state parts are put through a wash process to remove the binder. SINTER: Washed parts are sintered in a furnace so the metal powder fuses into solid metal.
