Additive Manufacturing Workshops

Struggling with long lead times, costly tooling, or hard-to-source parts?

You’re not alone. More importantly, there are practical ways to fix it.

Join our free, hands-on Additive Manufacturing workshops and see how engineers, manufacturers and designers are using 3D printing to reduce costs, speed up production, and solve real-world challenges.

In just two hours, you’ll gain clear, practical insight into where Additive Manufacturing fits in your workflow, and how to apply it immediately.

Join us this summer in Leeds and Coventry.

What You'll Walk Away With

This isn’t a theory session. It’s designed to give you practical takeaways you can use straight away.

After attending, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify real parts in your workflow that are suitable for additive manufacturing
  • Understand which technologies and materials actually work (and which don’t)
  • Compare cost vs lead time savings across different applications
  • Decide whether to outsource or bring AM in-house
  • Spot quick wins you can implement immediately

Real Applications We’ll Cover

We focus on practical use cases - not just what the machines can do, but what actually delivers value. We dive into actual print times, materials used, and cost comparisons.

You’ll see real examples of:

  • Jigs, fixtures & production tooling
  • End-use parts (as well as prototypes)
  • Spare parts & obsolete parts
  • Low-volume-high-value production parts
  • Lightweighting & part consolidation

Who Should Attend

These sessions are designed for engineers and manufacturers who want practical results. If you’re responsible for improving efficiency, reducing costs, or solving production challenges — this session is for you.

  • Design engineers
  • Production / manufacturing engineers
  • Maintenance & operations teams
  • Innovation / R&D leads
  • Additive Manufacturing leads

    Bring Your Problem

Have a part, drawing, or problem in mind? Bring it along. We’ll help you assess:

    • Whether it can be 3D printed
    • Which technology and material fits
    • What the cost and lead time could look like

    Locations & Dates

We’re running a limited number of workshops, so places are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We keep group sessions small to keep things interactive and practical, and so you can get maximum hands-on time with the 3D printers, materials and applications.

    • Tuesday 30th June 2026 - Leeds, LS16 5PS
    • Wednesday 1st July 2026 - Coventry, CV7 9HZ

    Workshop Format

Each workshop runs from 10:00 to 12:00 followed by a casual lunch (optional).

    - Welcome coffee: 09:45 to 10:00
    - Presentation & hands on workshop: 10:00 to 12:00
    - Casual lunch with Q&A: 12:00 to 12:45

We keep things focused, practical, and worth your time. We will cover:

    • Overview of AM technologies
    • Real-world applications & case studies
    • Materials & performance insights
    • Live technology demos (SLA, SLS, Metal, Composite, FDM)
    • Interactive Q&A — your parts, your challenges

    Why Attend a CREAT3D Workshop?

We work with companies every day to apply Additive Manufacturing in real environments.

These workshops are: practical, based on real applications, designed to help you make informed decisions and provide you with ideas, information and advice to take away and apply.

We have been running these workshops for years, and they are always booked up, with engineers attending from across manufacturing, engineering, and production environments.

If you’re curious about where Additive Manufacturing could fit in your business, this is a great place to start.

Can't Make the Dates or Locations?

If you can't make the dates or location, not to worry. We also offer 1:2:1 sessions at our facility in Berkshire. You can see the full range of printers, workflow and ask all your questions in a hands-on environment.
