Markforged Announce New Precise PLA Material14 March 2022 Markforged have announced the release of new Precise PLA filament. Precise PLA is Markforged's specialised version of the material Polylactic Acid (PLA). Compatible with Mark Two (Gen 2) and Onyx Pro (Gen 2) desktop series 3D printers, this new material is available in eight different colours, for affordable prototyping.
Precise PLA is a great complementary material to Onyx, to be used for affordable prototyping before manufacturing a final part in the stronger material. It is a more cost-effective option for prototypes, fit checks, or any other applications that don’t need the enhanced mechanical properties of Onyx and/or continuous fibres.
The wide variety of colours available enable users to colour code part iterations or workshop tools, and make important components stand out amongst others.
