The latest desktop 3D printers, handheld 3D scanners and new high-strength filament to feature at TCT Show.


CREAT3D (stand G27) are showcasing the new CubePro, Robox and Leapfrog Creatr XL printers alongside the Fuel3D scanner and printing in ColorFabb’s high-strenght XT at TCT + Personalize Show this October.

Making a splash at the TCT + Personalize Show will be a selection of new 3D printers including the CubePro from 3D Systems and Robox from CEL as well as the Fuel3D handheld 3D scanner, due for launch later this month. CREAT3D will be giving demonstrations of the latest in filament technology on an Ultimaker 2 using the new high-strength XT filament from ColorFabb.


ColorFabb’s innovation continues with the release of its new XT filament. Available in both 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameters, the new filament is a co-polyester developed by ColorFabb, made with Eastman Amphora™ 3D polymer. It is low-odour, styrene-free and BPA (Bisphenol A) free. It is high strength and very high toughness, has a high TG/improved temperature resistance of 75° and is FDA food contact compliant. It’s properties make it ideal for engineering companies using desktop 3D printers for form, fit and function testing.


The CubePro range from (with options of single, dual and triple head extruders) is the latest professional desktop 3D printer to arrive from 3D Systems. The CubePro offers a large build platform, printing in both ABS and PLA materials (with Nylon coming soon) all within an enclosed chamber to help provide a more consistent print quality.


The Robox is a very competitively priced dual head desktop 3D printer, printing in a variety of materials using differently sized nozzles of 0.3mm and 0.8mm, providing enhanced print options to the user. The Robox is both a stylish and functional printer, with an enclosed build chamber and heated PEI (Polyetherimide) build platform providing a more stable print environment for increased consistency in print quality.


The Fuel3D 3D scanner brings handheld 3D imaging technology, originally developed for high-end medical applications, into the professional and consumer marketplace with its point-and-shoot and colour capture capabilities. The British-born Fuel3D is an easy-to-use and affordable handheld 3D scanner that captures extremely high-resolution mesh and colour information, making it ideal for designers, game developers, animators, 3D artists or any other type of creative developer.
