The FX10 Metal Kit from Markforged enables the Markforged FX10 industrial composite 3D printer to print both composite and metal materials.
Once the FX10 Metal Kit has been installed, users can robustly and reliably print metal and composites on the same machine, increasing versatility of producing tooling, components, fixtures and end-use parts.
The first of its kind, the FX10 with metal enablement, means that manufacturers can reliably solve high-value problems on the factory floor, drive increased profitability and productivity, and scale across teams and facilities.
The FX10 Metal Kit includes:
- FX10 Metal Print Head: Metal-specific print head that replaces the composite print head installed on the machine.
- Material Tubes: Metal-specific material feed tubes swapped in for composite feed tubes.
- Material Routing Block: Metal-specific routing block swapped in on the back of the machine.
- Dual Pre-extruders (one-time install): Dual pre-extruders compatible with both composite and metal printing
For use with the Markforged FX10.
Compatible with metal materials:
- Markforged Stainless Steel 17-4PH v2
- Markforged Stainless Steel 316L (coming Q1 2025)
Must be used in conjunction with Markforged Wash-1 and Sinter-1 or Sinter-2 for post processing of metal parts.
