Markforged Onyx FR-A Filament

Onyx FR-A is a flame-retardant micro carbon fibre filled Nylon designed for use in applications where parts must be non-flammable. Onyx FR-A material earned a UL Blue Card, and is considered V-0 (self extinguishing) at thicknesses greater than or equal to 3mm.

Onyx FR-A is purpose built for aerospace, transportation and automotive industries. Onyx FR-A version comes with lot-level material traceability documentation and passes the test suite necessary for qualification under 14 CFR 25.853 for most 3D printable parts.

Onyx FR-A material possesses similar mechanical properties to Onyx, has good chemical resistivity, is non-marring and is reinforceable with continuous fibres.

Each MarkForged Onyx FR-A filament spool contains approx. 800cm³ of material.

Onyx FR-A only prints on the Industrial Series of 3D Printers (Markforged X3, X5 and X7 models).
